Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Multi-Disciplinary Engineering and Biomedical Research (IJMEBR) has a strict and transparent peer review procedure that helps in reviewing all published research to ascertain its quality, originality, and scholarly integrity. One of the principles that the journal adheres to is the maintenance of high standards of scholarly work by reviewing all submitted manuscripts using a fair and objective system.

Each manuscript received is firstly screened through an editorial process to determine its relevance to the journal's scope, the quality of the research, and its conformance to submission guidelines. Those manuscripts that pass this initial screening are subsequently sent to external expert reviewers in the subject area for a thorough evaluation.

Steps in the Peer Review Process

1
Initial Editorial Screening Upon receipt, the editorial committee reviews the manuscript to verify that it falls within the scope of the journal and meets the required formatting and ethical standards.
2
Reviewer Assignment Papers that pass the initial screening are forwarded to competent subject professionals for peer review. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the relevant area of research.
3
Double-Blind Peer Review The journal follows a double-blind peer review process in which both the reviewers and authors remain unknown to each other, ensuring an unbiased and impartial evaluation.
4
Reviewer Evaluation Reviewers assess the manuscript based on a number of criteria, including:
  • Originality and significance of the research
  • Applicability to the scope of the journal
  • Clarity of methodology and discussion
  • Writing and presentation quality
  • Value added to the field of study
5
Editorial Decision Based on the comments and recommendations of the reviewers, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions:
  • Accept the manuscript for publication
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Request major revisions and resubmission
  • Reject the manuscript
6
Revision and Final Decision Where revisions are required, authors are asked to respond to the reviewer comments and submit a revised copy of the manuscript. The final copy is further reviewed and a final publication decision is made.

Commitment to Quality

The peer review process of IJMEBR ensures that only high-quality, original, and academically valuable research is published. The journal maintains strict confidentiality and impartiality throughout the review process to uphold the integrity of scholarly publication.
